Located in historic Bathsheba on the rugged East Coast of Barbados, Round House has been a popular and beloved destination for locals and visitors alike for over 100 years. Previously a private family home, it was purchased in the 1980's by Robert and Gail Manley and lovingly restored as a restaurant and inn, keeping much of the building's original architecture and unique attributes. Today, the property is run by their two daughters, Elise and Anna.

THE BARBADOS LIGHT RAILWAY

In the 1870's til the 1930's, the Barbados Light Railway operated from Bridgetown through Bathsheba to Belleplaine. Today, the remnants of this railway line can be seen in the form of footpaths and hiking trails and the occasional metal stakes left from the tracks which remain visible.
